Welcome to Fair Isle Primary School!
Fair Isle is Britain’s most remote inhabited island. It is three miles long and one mile wide. There is approximately 26 miles of coastline if you walk every bay and headland. Fair Isle is situated almost exactly halfway between mainland Shetland and North Ronaldsay in Orkney. It is approximately 25 miles away from both of these places. If you travel west from Fair Isle, the next land you would reach is Canada. Directly east is Norway.
