Welcome to Fair Isle Primary School!
Fair Isle Primary School is a small school located on Fair Isle, Britain's most remote inhabited island.
Fair Isle Primary is a non-denominational school. We have a wonderful facility which includes a bright nursery, two primary classrooms, a small office. Our school connects to the community hall where students eat their school dinners and have PE class.
Fair Isle Primary is supported by the Parent Council and has close links with both of the Lerwick primary schools and the Anderson High School. The children work as a whole class, in smaller groups or individually depending on the learning taking place.

About Fair Isle:
Fair Isle is Britain’s most remote inhabited island. It is three miles long and one mile wide. There is approximately 26 miles of coastline if you walk every bay and headland. Fair Isle is situated almost exactly halfway between mainland Shetland and North Ronaldsay in Orkney. It is approximately 25 miles away from both of these places.
If you travel west from Fair Isle, the next land you would reach is Canada. Directly east is Norway.
